A full Month of Vaginal Hell

This month has been the absolute worst.

I've had nothing but back to back issues with my vaginal health and every time I have to get on a new course of antibiotics, it triggers something else. I started the month off with a yeast infection followed by my period and a UTI. The UTI became severe very quickly and the antibiotics used to treat it caused another yeast infection.

I decided to go and get tested for a full panel of STD's/STI's just to cover all my bases and make sure there wasn't any other underlying causes that I was potentially mistaking symptoms of. The nurse was pretty confident that I didn't have anything based on my description but did the full panel anyways and also ordered a vaginal swab to check for Trich, Yeast, and BV. My results came back positive for both Yeast and BV. BV or Bacterial Vaginosis was the missing link that was causing some of my prolonged symptoms and was prescribed medication to treat both issues. Since getting those prescriptions I've finally started to feel some relief after the entire month.

I maintain very high hygiene standards and routines for myself and to have had this many issues all in the span of a month has really made me consider making drastic lifestyle changes in order to prevent this from happening again. I've started looking into a daily pro-biotic for maintaining vaginal health and balanced PH as well as changing my outfit bottoms more frequently during my shifts. The circumstances that most likely caused my issues are circumstances I'm not able to eliminate completely. I have to work and unfortunately my job just happens to be the worst environment for vaginal health. The only thing I can really do is try to minimize risk as much as possible and incorporate more preventative measures into my routine.
